The giant striker scored an overhead kick which propelled united onto victory against the Turkish side.
Four minutes into the game, Ibrahimovic met a cross with a scissor kick and sent it past the goalkeeper.
Galatasaray pulled level through Sinan Gumus before Bruma brought an end to a fantastic move with an exquisite finish.
Wayne Rooney tied things up 10 minutes into the second half and restored United’s lead shortly afterwards when he converted a penalty.
Marouane Fellaini put the game beyond doubt when he headed a cross past Fernando Muslera, and Juan Mata added another after 75 minutes.
