It is customary in our society, especially in Lagos where we have predominantly Yoruba people, (although they still say its no man’s land) that weekends are meant for fun and partying with family and friends.
The generally accepted name for parties or partying here in Lagos is, OWAMBE and on these days, people dazzle in their glamorous and specially tailored attires, usually traditional, to light up the event and to the delight of others.
Last weekend, thesheetng took some time out to a few OWAMBEs, and we couldn’t ignore the variety of styles and fabric transformation we witnessed.
