Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo, has been appointed as Special Adviser of Art, Culture and Tourism by the Kwara State governor.
Femi, who is the son of Veteran actor, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello) is a household name in the Yoruba Movie Industry and follows the steps of other Nollywood colleagues like Kete Henshaw, Richard Mofe Damijo and more recently, Ini Edo, who have also served in their respective states.
He attended the University of Ilorin where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master of Arts (M. A) degree in Theatre Art.
Breaking the news of his appointment on Instagram yesterday, Adebayo said:
Today I was appointed as Special Assistant( SA) to the Kwara State Governor, on Arts, Culture and Tourism. Thank God 4 an opportunity 2 transform my state into a foremost tourist state that will attract foreign and domestic tourists. My fans I need ur support. Leave me not.’
Many of his colleagues have sent congratulatory messages to him since the news of his appointment broke.
