Nigerians are currently putting Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung on full blast on social media after a video of him emerged where he referred to USA as “United States Of Nigeria”.

Dalung was said to have made the gaffe while reacting to the condition of Nigeria’s U-23 football team who were stranded in America.

He said:

“Our U-23 team suffering in the United States of Nigeria, What are there for? Because they are U-23 and they went to US and they are having problems, does that become our business?”

This immediately began to generate reactions from from Nigerians on Twitter. When Nigerians called the minister a shame and barraged him with more reactions, he set his Twitter account to private.
